The Marital Settlement Agreement is a settlement agreement that outlines the financial settlement.  The financial settlement explains how spousal support, child support, marital assets and liabilities are allocated.  Generally, a Marital Settlement Agreement must be accepted by the divorce court judgment.  Thus, the Marital Settlement must be fair and equitable.  The Marital Settlement Agreement is an enforceable contract, enforceable by the divorce court.
